About This Project

Heritage Works, in partnership with the Dubuque Museum of Art, presents a series of walking tours and presentations of Dubuque’s architecture.

Lunch & Learn are 60-minute lunchtime presentations at the Dubuque Museum of Art. These presentaitons look at different topics related to Dubuque’s architectural history.

Walk and Talk are 45-60 minute lunchtime tours in downtown Dubuque including the Historic Federal Building, the Roshek building, US Bank and the Grand Opera House. Tours focus on form and function with interior/exterior interpretation.

Ale and Architecture tours consist of 90-120 minute walking tours of bars in the historic neighborhoods. Patrons will make 2-3 stops in bars along the route and can purchase their own drinks at each stop. Tours are given by Jason Neises, Vice Chair of the Dubuque County Preservation Committee. (Previous tours include: Upper and Lower Main, Cathedral District, & Millwork District)
